I also have been with the study from the beginning after losing my sister just 2 yrs older than me at the age of 49. A coworker of mine at the college of medicine at the time told me of the study and I started right away. My older sister then got involved and at the age of 70 was diagnosed. She is doing great by the grace of God. Out of my 8 sisters 2 have had breast cancer. Thank you to the The Sister Study network of people who have made it possible ❤

My Mom, aunt and both sisters had breast cancer. Our family became part of the Brca1 & 2 gene studies. I've been part of the Sister Study since it began. There isn't anything our family wouldn't have done to try to help find causes and preventions for not only breast cancer, but the other diseases they are often linked to as well. I look forward to completing that yes, lengthy questionaire. But it's the least I can do to help others to avoid the what may be preventable pain and suffering I've seen from breast cancer since my aunt died of it in my home when I was 5. At 70, as now a nationally ranked sprinter for my age group, 6X vegan health and fitness cookbook author, former Emmy-winning Miami TV investigative reporter trying to follow the money to figure out the real truth about diet and exercise, and as a mother of 3 daughters, I'm so grateful to the Sister Study for all the work and information cranked out. I'll keep talking about it too, until my last breath. ;) Yes, lights out and electronics off before bed are big ones. A big thank you!!
